Monochrome with a splash of colour

A bathroom renovation brings a whole new lease of life to your home and is regularly cited as one of the major features buyers look for when making a house purchase. The range of sanitaryware is dazzling and there are endless beautiful and creative tile combinations which can pack a real design punch in bathrooms of all sizes. Often, it’s wise to choose crisp white sanitaryware with a chrome finish,  and for bathroom furniture, the grey palette has enduring appeal. You are guaranteed a bathroom which will withstand fluctuations in taste and fashion.

However, that’s not to say there isn’t scope for introducing colour into your bathroom and the easiest option is with judicious use of a punchy paint colour. Easily swapped out if you fancy ringing the changes, bright colours in the bathroom really complement a monochrome palette. We advise using a moisture resistant finish paint, such as Dulux Easycare Bathroom Soft Sheen, which both protects against the effects of steam damage in the bathroom and any inklings of mould.

In fact most paint brands offer a bathroom finish so the choice of colour is pretty limitless, complete the look with  fluffy new towels in a complementary colour and you have a luxury new look all of your own.  Here are a few examples of bathrooms we have completed in the Twickenham and Teddington areas recently, food for thought…
