We have recently worked on several projects with the team at Mario Furniture. They create incredible, bespoke storage for all kinds of spaces in the home. They build shoe boxes in awkward under stair nooks; fit beautiful alcove shelving; create wardrobes in all dimensions with superb attention to detail including gliding drawers and internal shelving to suit. A particular specialty is open shelving in any formation, from the funky asymmetric to streamlined box shaped. Mario Furniture is made either from a whole range of beautiful hard woods or if you prefer the hand painted finish in a colour of your choice, then a solid MDF is a great option, and this is where we at Avoca come in. After lightly sanding the wood, we apply an undercoat to the highly absorbent MDF and then follow this with several layers of topcoat paint to create an even and durable surface in any colour you may choose. We usually recommend a matt finish and can use specialist moisture resistant paints for kitchen and bathroom cabinetry.
