Decisions, decisions? How to help with the thorny subject of choosing your paint colour…

Never an easy job choosing that perfect shade of paint is it? Are the strong colours too overwhelming? The light ones too wishy-washy? The same old, same old too boring?

A great way to help the creative juices flow is to have a bit of fun with paint match pots so you can really visualise what your wall might look like once you have taken the plunge. This handy little clip from the lovely Little, Greene paint company offers some sound advice. I’d just add, give yourself plenty of time to choose. It is really easy to rush into a decision or feel that you need to make a snap choice, so leave a long lead time and that way you can see which colours grow on you. Also, there is finish to consider alongside the colour. Silky, matt, gloss, eggshell? All valid choices depending on the room and who is using the space, we are always happy to explain the pros and cons of each. There is an almost infinite choice of colour to choose from, why not have a bit of fun selecting the perfect one for you?
